Horse Sense....

It was an incredible trip.

I could look back over the past 4 years, and saw in hindsight, that every single decision I had made, was perfect in its entirety.

It's not often I can say that.

I'm also super proud that Liam is a beautiful human being.

I absoluely love the bones of him.

We spent time catching up on the things that don't get said on the phone, hanging out, connecting in, and Touching our DNA smell.

That's where your Soul gets recharged because it is plugged into Source.

The biggest surprises of the trip:

1) DC girls are fit.

Literally, they are on average, a size 0 to 2.

That's because you walk everywhere.  No buses.  You walk.

2) Everyone walks everywhere.

In all the time I was there I only saw two (2) women during the day who didn't wear sneakers.

Men wear the most gorgeous suits...and sneakers.

We walked every day somewhere between 8 and 10 km's.

Every.  Single.  Day.

3) DC men are the most complimentary men on the planet.

They will stop you in the street to tell you that you look amazing.  They are free with their compliments, are fit, and are just gorgeous in every way that it counts.

I think it is their confidence of who they are as men, that allows them the freedom to compliment women often and easily.

But also, being complimented is one of my Love Languages.

I find it super sexy.

It was soooooooooooooo different to New Zealand men though, who don't look after themselves physically, dress like slops, their whole idea of foreplay is, You're hot, want to fuck? and a compliment is tomato sauce.

It just brought back to me that life is too short and the world is too hard, to be with someone who doesn't give compliments.

I want my life partner to be emotionally open and generous with their feelings, words and actions, and to look after themselves...otherwise I'm staying fucking single.

4) The restaurants are authentic and fantastic.

I love their food and I don't think I have ever tasted better Mexican ever....and  the bbq there is out of this world.

I never thought that I would say that 16 hour slow roasted brisket, served on paper plates, would be one of the best meals I've ever had.

But it was.

5) A lot of things are free - like Museums (which there are a lot of) and the Zoo.

6) Pre-natal care is not free.

Birthing costs $30,000 which is around $50,9720 in NZ dollars.

There is no Maternity leave.

7) There are a lot of dogs.

Like you see people walking them everywhere, which is super surprising considering DC accomodation is on the small (tiny) side.

8) I love Old Town (water), George Town (water) and the Wharf (water).

9) I loved the bakeries there which work on the basic theory of:

Make everything fresh and when you run out, shut.

It's such an obviously successful way to work.

10) DC-ians are the most polite people on the planet.

11) You are searched a lot for guns/knives and more guns.

Politely.  But searched.

The two things I hated the most in DC:

1) The Pharmacies.

You could not walk two (2) minutes in any direction, without running into a pharmacy.

Open 7 days a week, often 24 hours a day.

A small one would be 4 times the size of our average one, and a large one was that size, but two storied.

I have never seen anything like it.

I left New Zealand knowing Big Pharma was a Billion dollar industry, but left America knowing it was a Trillion dollar industry.

2) Ads.

And every ad break on tv had one advertisment, telling you how much better your life would be if you were on medication.

Pills that help your Depression/Anxiety/HIV/Inflammation pills work better.

Pills on top of pills.

And ads that show men and women skipping down the street, running with grandchildren, happy, joyful people....And this could be you...

It was fucking mind blowing.

And what was worse was that they listed the side effects, in which no person in their right mind would even think of taking the pills after hearing.

Yet you are bombarded with how much better your life would be on medication.  You are shown how you might be, if you just took this pill.

You will never ever need to say to me again about watching my weight, taking care of myself mentally or looking after my emotional well-being.

I'm pretty good with food, but I've come back with an even more direct focus on my health - overall, Mind-Body-Soul Health.

I can promise you though, that if you are on medication, you need to get the fuck off.

Medication is a Trillion dollar industry.

Big Pharma does not want you well and these pills that you are taking, are harming you in ways that it is almost impossible for you to come back from.

These pills are killing you.

Do whatever you can, try any form of therapy...just get off those fucking pills.
