30 Sec's on....
I believe that everyone has something that they need to work on in this lifetime. Mine is patience. But I try. Most times it works and I do not say the first thing that comes into my head but sometimes I find it a real challenge to shut up.
Like last week. ..
It was pelting down with rain and I needed to go to the supermarket. I had been hunting round the freezer seeing if I could scrounge up tea without having to get my dainty feet wet then realized we also needed shampoo, toilet paper and milk so off I went.
If we overlook the weather, lack of parking spaces and nil visibility getting there was a breeze. The shop was also fine. Lots of bargains and "list of food to buy" was finished before "budgeted funds for food" did. Excellent!
So I was fairly happy. There were not too many people at check-outs and one lane with almost no-one so feeling very happy with myself popped myself in that line and unloaded my groceries.
And kept on unloading. And the check-out girl kept watching me.
Which would have been fine if:
a) she hadn't watched me or
b) had mentioned BEFORE I unloaded most of my full trolley that it was 12 items or less lane.
Excuse me?
"I'm sorry but this isle is 12 items or less."
Silence.
"You can't use this isle. You have to go over to that check-out".
I would like to say that I was a good person and apologized to her and to the line of people now standing behind me but I can't. The best I could do was slowly and silently re-trolley every one of those 69 items that I had just un-trolleyed repeatedly saying to myself "No-one's dream job is to be a check-out operator".
The only thing I am going to say here is everyone has something to work on kiddo.
Have a kickass week Angels and live your Truth.
