So it works out that I may have a teensy tiny issue.

My Drivers license, after 10 years, runs out in October.

No biggie, right? 

Well, technically, after having my full license since I was 15 years old, 39 years, somehow, I never learnt how to parallel park.

Now before you go, Whoooooo...WTF?  Let me explain.

Back when I was at school, they ran a 2 week Learn to Drive driving class.

This was a comprehensive physical class that taught you from nothing, to how to fully drive a car.

The class was taken by a short ass, who had the real, Short Man Syndrome attitude...and even back then I was super tall.  He only came up to my shoulder, and the guy hated me.

There was 20 in the class and he took great pleasure in telling me, and anyone else that would listen, that I would not pass.

He was so sure of himself, and my lack of ability, that he refused to teach me how to parallel.

He was a nasty specimen of a man.

Anyway, at the end of the two weeks, we all took the official test, both written and physical (not taken by him) and out of the 20 people, only 5 passed.

Moi being one.

And I have successfully driven all round New Zealand, both North and South Island, for the past 39 years.

...never once parallel parking.
