Have you and I ever talked about Tutankhamun's Curse?
No?
Well, it works like this:
The curse of the Pharaohs or Tutankhamun's Curse is a curse alleged to be cast upon anyone who disturbs or takes from, the Mummy or tomb of an ancient Egyptian, especially a Pharaoh.
If you steal from his tomb, then chaos, mayhem, bad luck, illness and (often) death, follows you.
Because he doesn't like being disturbed.
And you cannot take Spiritually, what doesn't belong to you.
I've always liked that concept.
But just recently, this has come up for me, and it's made me re-look at things.
And the best I can come up with is this:
When I first started this work, I was soooooooooooooooo naive. I thought that, above all else, my job was to be right.
Which is partly true. I need to be right.
But through youth and inexperience, I forgot the Number 1 rule, First be kind.
So I'm certainly not the same person now, that I was when I first started out.
There was something about seeing the physical results of my work, that changed the Soul of who I was.
I found that I couldn't play hard, fast and loose with people's emotions.
That I had, and have, a responsibility to do my best work.
Every day.
For every client.
And after 3 decades I know, because I've seen miracles and Out-There-Batshite-Crazy things, that there is, beyond a reasonable doubt, a Higher Power.
Because some things just can't be explained.
That there really is no logical explanation - in whichever way you judge these things.
So when someone tells me they've done the wrong thing, bad things have started happening and, They just wanted what they wanted, I understand.
Which made me think of, Tutankhamun's Curse.
