Three things have coincided for this weeks blog:

1) It is the second year Anniversary of my son's friend dying in a tramping accident.

2) I had a phone conversation with a 64 year old woman asking about her high school love and

3) I had a physical conversation with a teenager about choices.

And Boom! there's our blog.

Sometimes I think Spirit let me talk with teenagers though because I'm so good at talking.  I have a story (if not 2 or 3) for every scenario they bring to the table.  And some of them are real doozies.

But seriously, I get really concerned about how PC we all are now.  We don't take risks financially, emotionally or physically.  We don't encourage others to. We talk about being safe, doing the right thing, being nice and kind and having goals.  Now, don't get me wrong, being nice and kind is good and having goals is excellent but not at the cost of living your life.  Spirit don't put you on this earth so at the end of your time you can say, But I have a nice house.  

No, no Spirit want you to have lived your life.

To have taken chances.  To have breathed life into your passion and squished love into your soul.

To pick yourself up and dust yourself off if you take a chance and it's wrong, or wrong right now or just...ok, well, wrong.

But Spirit do not want you to waste the talent, whatever that is for you, or throw it away as if it is nothing.  Spirit also want you to love who the h*ell you want. No matter whether they are on the opposite side of the world, 20 years older (or younger - go you, cougars!) the same sex or a bl**dy alien.

Actually, did you know that how to tell whether someone is age appropriate or not is to take your age - let's say mine, 47 and 3/4's, half it (ok maybe we should round me up to 48) which is 24 then add 5 years = 29.  I know! That's just opened up my dating pool.

Anyway, moving right along...

Spirit also don't want you to say that what you want it is not worthy, or the person you love is somehow less because he or she is outside the norm.

So, that's what Spirit want to say to you today.

Live your life in the way that you want to.  Exactly the way you want to. Every minute that you take a breath.

And be proud while you're doing it.
