So everyone has jackets on.

The little ones and Az were first. In fact, Chew was actually pushing in and standing in line first.

To be fair, anything under 18 degrees Chew gets a bit funky about.

Az is a gentleman and I literally couldn't ask for a nicer, more accomodating horse.  He's freaking beautiful.

Ralphy poo is not wearing a jacket, but honestly, he has enough padding to last him through a winter at -3 degrees.

Suzie is  just a doll.  She is so nice and works so hard to be helpful.  She appreciates me, as I her.

I said to Cappy and Mumma that if they wanted a jacket on to go to the Welcome Paddock after dinner.

Nope.  They went to the far paddock and pretended they didn't know  me.

It was a completely different story this morning.

They were both in the Welcome Paddock and wanted their jackets on immediately.

Three minutes after, it started raining with wind that had a bite in it.

Timing was pretty damn good today.

David Seymour, in todays NZ Herald, wants to abolish free school lunches.

That's the free lunches kids get who are sent to school with NO lunch, because there is no money in their home.

This is the same week that Chris Luxon, Prime Minister, got caught taking the $52,000 accomodation allowance on a house that he already owns.

Jeez...what a bunch of fuckwits.

One of my most favourite shops, my Cupcake shop, that only sells cupcakes, just went bust.

My heart hurts.

My local fruit and vegetable shop now accepts AfterPay - that stupid app that allows you to buy now and pay for it over the next 4 weeks.

Am I the only one that is seeing a great-red-fucking-flag problem here?

And just in:

French lawmakers overwhelmingly approved a bill to enshrine abortion rights in France’s constitution, making it the only country to explicitly guarantee a woman’s right to voluntarily terminate a pregnancy.

The historic move was proposed by President Emmanuel Macron as a way to prevent the kind of rollback of abortion rights seen in the United States in recent years, and the vote during a special joint session of parliament drew a long-standing ovation among lawmakers.

The measure was approved in a 780-72 vote in the Palace of Versailles.

So as much as I am highly disturbed about what is happening here in New Zealand, and I am, because the base stupidity and downright shady fuckery, sometimes leaves me with no words to say, there is also some freaking amazing things happening.

The amount of people that I know that are doing ground-breaking, world-first-work, is mind blowing.

It is an exceptional time here in the world, and as much as the fuckery of people who honestly, not just got tapped with the stupid stick but bathed in the stupid mud, does my head in, I then get shown people who are well beyond the realms of exceptional.

And it fills my Soul.
