Horse Sense....

Chew's hooves are insane.

They grow at such a rate that we were talking today about whether he could have Cushings.

That's how fast they grow.

I don't like the idea of Chew having that, and as much as he is older, he's still Chew, and we both know what that means, ha ha, so I'll just put that on the back burner.

So I'm not accepting it is, however, I'll put the feelers out and see what comes back.

And talking about farriers, Little Miss decided that she didn't wish to have her hooves done today.

I was like, Where's Belle?

Belle was two paddocks over and would not come one inch closer for love nor money.

She just stood close enough to see what was going on, but no more.

That was weird, she normally comes when called and is the easiest horse in the Universe.

Guess she was just having an off day.

That's ok, we'll do her next week.

And I went to make one of my favourite foods today for the first time, Kimchi, and ran into a few issues.

I thought it was made out of cabbage and chilli.

It works out that it also has either Fish sauce or Shrimp paste.

Shrimp is baby prawn, and what do you think that Fish sauce is made out of?

I now have the most very basic, Kimchi, fermenting on my kitchen bench - with a little bit of kelp.

Minus Shrimp paste and Fish sauce.

The smell of both at first was, Oh that's delicious, turning rapidly to, Ah, Hell No!

That cellular memory is a right bastard.

And in the realm of the weird and bizarre...

Women are now getting Prostate Cancer, and for some (not all) vaccinated people, Botox is not working.

Not reacting.  Literally, not working, and no one has any idea why.

You're welcome.

And my Kimchi only took a few days.

Check it out...

And a big Thank you! to my local Fruit and Vegetable shop owner who told me the right cabbage to get, showed me what a Daikon radish looked like, then gave me all the extra tips of, No, don't use that, use this and do it this way...

Because, My wife make best Kimchi!!

Yes, yes, she does.

And thank you for correcting me when I pronounced, Kimchi as Ki-me-chee.

This is Chew's hooves, 4 days after being farriered.

Chew doesn't have the curly coat, however, like all of us, he's going white haha...

What a beautiful funeral for the Queen.

And I love that she had a Pipesman (a man who plays the bagpipes) who played outside her window, every morning of her life, no matter where she was in the world, from 9am to 9.15am.

I LOVE that.

But I'm heartsore for Harry, and I wish him all the luck in the Universe.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive them that trespass against us.

Matthew 6:12-14

Ok, and a super weird thing is happening here at home.

So I'm trying a new product again, heard super great things about this product, so tried it with everyone at home and with Boo-ba-licious.

Boo-ba-llcious chows down on it BUT at home, everyone eats the other part of their feed first, leaving this product...then 5 minutes later it is gone like magick.

Like, No one's eating it, then Boom! gone.

It's the weirdest thing in the Universe.

Now I don't know whether it is one horse having like 10 times the doseage or them all just sneaky eating it when my back is turned.

It makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.

Bloody hate Retrogrades!

Put a couple of things on the stove to heat, went outside briefly, then got side tracked and started playing with the horses, who, to be fair, wished to play with me back.

Came back inside and there was smoke everywhere and I had completely munted my saucepan.

I blame this all on the planets.

Check out this sexy beast....

So that's been our week:

There's lots of learning going on, Go back, start again.  Which I'm cool with.  I also like peeps turning up at our home, and me talking about what we're working with this week.  What we're trying.  What we're hoping to achieve.  I like the connection that is bringing.  I'm also liking how this connection is working with the horses.

What works?  Why?  For how long?  Is this the best way of using it?  Could I do better?

And we are all totally loving the longer days and brighter sun.

Kissy hugs

Caps, me (T - she/her), Spirit, Az, Ralph, Chew, Suz, and of course, my beautiful Mumma Bear, Belle and Boo-ba-licious, Pat, Chuck, Rose, Pepper, Shelley, Marmite, Geraldine, Milli, Bessie, Raz, Sugar, Butter, Cookie and Cinammon, and the cows, Mickey, Mikey and Moose.
