Horse Sense....

First off, no bloody Boo.

Now he's just taking the piss but you know, I want him as healthy as he can be, as stress free birth as possible and well, everything to go great, so I have to trust that Spirit know what they're doing.

And to be fair, as I'm writing this, I'm only 3 and a bit weeks out.  Last time I was almost 8, so I'm getting better.

Now onto other things:

I may have made a teensy, tiny mistake with the Big E.

Now I say this because 3 people in the last 24 hours have been completely freaked out by him.  The first person who did it, I laughed, I didn't think they were serious.  The second person, just stood still and refused to move until I had ok'd them that he wasn't going to hurt them and the third, well, she saw the Big E standing on one side of the house so crept round the back, through the bushes and slid in that way.

I kidd you not.

Anyway, it works out that when I said I had been playing rams with him, that was a big NO NO.  Don't play rams.  When I scratched him on the top of his head, another NO NO.  When I let him eat out of the big feed bin while I was making feeds up, another NO.  Because he's started well, ramming into me a little bit.

Now I know the Big E so I just tell him NO! and he mucks around then behaves himself.  But when everyone was so freaked out, I googled it.  Apparently, NO NO NO and No.  Because, as it works out, this is the age where he starts being a bit of a menace.  Then gets worse because he gets larger, heavier, more aggressive and generally a pain in the ass.

Actually, it works out the only thing I did right was scratch him under the chin and down his back...but to be fair, I have always squirted him with the hose when he butted me when I am sorting out feeds.

Go me!

So, after reading all this horrific stuff about being violent and showing them who's boss, right down the bottom was, Sheeps hate water, squirt them with a water bottle every time they paw the ground, put their head down, ram you or generally look as if they are not doing great things.

So I started today.

I feel a bit mean becuase I was the one that mucked up, and he's the one getting punished, but I live by the theory, When you know better, do better.

And he's not allowed to ram.

So Pat has a new friend and they were both talking at 3.19 this morning.

Pat: Dude, just moved in.  Pretty impressed, lots of paddocks, good perches and Tarnz seems like a good one.

Friend: Awesome!! My place is mighty fiiiiiinnnnnneee...and my girls, you have to see to believe.

And so it bloody went until they were firm friends, had a nap and then re-woke again at 6.20 am.

The Big E is sulking.

****

I have to say that I feel pretty mean to the Big E.  One minute he could do all this stuff and the next he's getting squirted all the time.  Unfortunately, needs must.  He did get himself into Mumma's paddock today though and then didn't wish to come out.

That lasted all of 60 seconds, when I locked the gate and walked away.

However, on a positive note, I can scratch under his chin - that's a good thing.  He loves that.  I love that, too.

And the most awesome thing today?

I was getting feed at the store and the next minute I overheard a woman say, And my horse just ate everything around it and left the whole thing?

Uummmmm excuse me, don't mean to be rude, but what exactly did your horse leave?

Rapeseed Meal.

You know the stuff that was banned back in 1956 and is known to cause Alzheimers, Dementia, obesity, Depression and causes mucho trouble with the mylein sheathes.

Best.  News.  Ever.

The Big E has done a complete 360.  He wanders along with me, chats away and on the odd occasion he puts a hoof wrong, gets a squirt and then we are all back on track.

I'm glad I got on top of things though.

Mumma is going for another 12 month pregnancy.

She's tired but happy.  Boo is both super happy and extremely disinclined to come out.

We're all fine though and just doing our Zen, baby.

****

There is some huge Energy around us here at the moment, which has thrown us some serious curveballs, and if I'm being honest, I can't say that I'm too happy about it.

We hope that the information which has come to us is wrong - very, very much wrong - but the crazy thing is that even if it is right, we will still have been unbelievably lucky.

Like, Get down on your knees and kiss the Blarney Stone lucky.

It better be wrong though, otherwise we have some big changes happening.

****

Boo is snuggly happy and absolutely, 100%, refusing to come out.

Mumma is super patient, we Miri Miri, massage, Touch and generally just do our thing and it seems to be working.  I'm learning patience or more to the point, How to listen to the whispers of the womb, so that's cool.  Every day is busy, we're still shut down here and if I'm being honest, as much as periodically I miss people, overall, it's a little slice of perfect.

Ooooooohhhhhhh....wait....3 of my friends have had babies recently, and every one of them has sent me photo's of them Touch/playing, leading and/or haltering.

You girls rock!!

Bloody Suz almost killed herself today!

Here we are at, I swear, 28 degrees and Suz is  refusing to take off her 220 jacket.  I actually thought she would have heatstroke.  She ran and ran and ran and ran and absolutely refused to be caught.  I wouldn't let it go though.  To be fair, the Big E didn't help.  He was either running with her or pouncing on her, trying to give her a quick shag.  I actually started feeling sorry for her.

Finally, cornered her, well, actually she hoofed it into a corner and then got caught in tape, but you know, six of one...

Anyhou, moving right along, she is, as I am writing this, de-jacketed, brushed, fed, watered and generally looking gorgeous.  She also has a lead rope on her which I am refusing to take off until we can get things organised.  The only thing I can think of apart from putting her in a stable - and that just won't happen because of her locked in and beaten past.

Wish us luck.

So that's been our week:  Fucking crazy.  Lots in a good and positive vibe way, and some not-so-great.   Spirit are walking with us though and if you can imagine a deeply Spiritual time, where you can not just see Spirit, but feel and hear them, then that's us.

Lucky is as Lucky does.

Big hugs and horsey kisses from us here, to you there.

Caps, me, Spirit, Az, Ralph, Chew, Suz, the Big E, and of course, my beautiful Mumma Bear, Belle and Little Boo and of course our latest additions - Pat (the rooster) and Chuck (the chicken)
