Horse Sense....

Ok, so the whole Suz and deck thing worked.

Then it didn't.

Let me explain:

It worked in the way of Suz being around more people, having pats, being more sociable and generally participating more.  That was brilliant.

It didn't work because Suz lost her choice to socialise.

And that's not how we work here.

Everyone has a voice.

So taking Suz's away, defeated the whole purpose of what I had wanted to achieve.

And to be fair, we know that she was kept in small spaces and beaten with a 2 x 4.

So she has the right to never socialise with another human, if that's what she wishes.

Back to the drawing board.  I need a new plan A.

****

Ok, so don't yell at me, but Suz is annoying me.

And the reason is simple:

She is using her,  I can't do that.  I've been abused...

And that's not cool.

That is not a Get out of jail free card.  I wouldn't put up with this from a human, and I won't put up with it from Suz.  Especially because both her and I know that this is not true in the here and now, and hasn't been for a fair whack of time now.  Well, over 2 years, possibly 3.  That's waaaaaaaayyyyyyy too long.

She's taking the piss.

So we're at a Mexican stand-off at the moment, because I've got the hump on now.

So Suz will come close, then go all Nope, been abused... although this doesn't stop her having snacks, wandering the property, eating other peeps  breakfast or dinner and generally doing whatever she wants, whenever she wants, in whichever way she pleases.

But I've got the hump now and everytime she does this, I go, I'm not doing this, Suz.  I'm not in the mood.  And walk away.

Suz is not a happy camper.

This is not in her plan, and is not giving her the end result that she desires.

New Plan A's are required on both sides.

The Big E is absolutely adorable!

He's soooooooo cute and loves to play.

Well, it works out that sometimes he misses other sheepies to play with, and particularly rams.  He misses ram play.

So I pretend for him and he loves it!

I jump forward and Roooooooaaaaaaaarrrrrrr at him, and then I step back and he jumps forward, lowers his head and gently head butts me.  We do this for ages and he really appreciates our playtime.

Best decision EVER getting him.

The rest of our week has just been spending time hanging out.  We've got a really great routine going, which roughly translates to those that want time with me come up, tell me what they need, and we either do some Clair-sensing or Touch/play.

It's been a truly blessed time.

****

So that's been our week:  Nothing amazing or Whoop like, just good, old fashioned, soul work.

Big hugs and horsey kisses from us here, to you there.

Caps, me, Spirit, Az, Ralph, Chew, Suz, the Big E, and of course, my beautiful Mumma Bear, Belle and Little Boo

So the sun's come out and all my horses have their game on.

After we have done Touch/play in the Welcome Paddock, then I tell them to go up to the house for a snack.

Apparently, snack is a word they know.

Next minute, there they are outside the house, looking hopeful for some form of deliciousness.  Maybe from the jar that sits on the table just waiting to be a snack or a banana... either or, I just love how it works.

****

On another weird note, when peeps come round normally all horses are at house waiting for snack, pat or some kind of good human thing.  But sometimes they just fuck off down to the back paddock round the corner, and refuse to come up.

It happened again today.

I was like, Caps, Az, Mumma!!

Silence.

Why aren't you coming up?

And Caps voice (from down the back paddock and round the corner), You'll learn.

Correct.

I did.
