Horse Sense....

Ok, so it works out that I made a boo boo by putting Sir Loin in a paddock by himself.

Apparently, when you have a frisky, testosterone fuelled bull the absolute last thing you do is take away his play toys.  So, I'm trying to get calf-ettes back in his paddock, which means shifting horses and keeping Sir Loin in paddock while encouraging calf-ettes in.  So, far they're not keen.

And I haven't told the young one yet.  Don't give me that look, everytime I speak with him other stuff comes up and I don't know how to broach the subject.  I know, Harden up, cupcake.  Hopefully, he's more receptive next week.

Cutie pie is gorgeous, strong, proud and fine.  He's absolutely stunning and almost ready to start his official training.  He's a beautiful colt.

And Missy is so good to me.  She has so much love, it comes in abundance.  So, if she's not chatting to me, she's loving me.  I think I fell on my hooves with her.  But all jokes aside, as much as I talk about opening the horse/human door when it opens, it opens and love's at the bottom.

And Az is working so hard with the Clair-senses, it's beautiful to be a part of.  So, you know, we're sitting or standing, playing or lying in the Stillness and we're touching emotions.  Thoughts have colours and breath has music.  These moments are priceless.

Oh, almost forgot...Ralph is no longer bottom of the herd.  I mean, he's not top and I know we have 5 in our herd but he's not last.  It's like by the extra training he's been doing in the house it's given him more kudos in the herd.  He's walking taller and walking prouder and if someone tries to pick on him (I'm looking at you Az and Chew) Ralph just stares them down and goes, Oh no, you don't!  I'm special.  I'm an indoor mini. And gives a little tail flick.

Chew's sulking.

Suzie Q is anticipating.  She would like to be an indoor mini, too.

Note to self: When Cappy moves away from me in the morning, when I go to take off his jacket, it is going to rain.  And most probably thunder storms.  No matter that there is blue skies, big sun and/or weather reports says it will be a beautiful, sun shiny day.  It.  Will.  Rain.

The thing I love most about Missy is that when I groom her, she puts her head down and flaps back her ears so I don't miss brushing out any dirt.

Jezus F*k, I've just seen two (2!!) mouses playing in my kitchen.  I swear, hand on heart they were playing tag.

Missy's doing beautifully.  Yes, she is getting results but it's not even that.  When we are together, we give everything we have to each other.  I'm there touching and grooming, brushing and combing and we are breathing.

That's been one of my biggest joys - learning how to breathe with a horse.  It's beautiful.  Like this wonderful work of art that we participate in.  In return, Missy gives me everything she has.  She uses everything.  That's every little thing.

She's beautiful.

Really p*ssed off the colt today.

Actually, it worked out I had done it the other day, he only got hold of me today to tell me.  And it was totally my fault.  Four days ago I said I would see him the next day, and due to life going crazy busy (and I don't normally see him at the weekend), I wasn't able to see him until today.  Boy, did he let me know that he wasn't happy.  I won't be making that mistake again.

And some muppet came in last night, took the Welcome Paddock gate completely off it's hinges and left it standing in such a way that when I opened it to take one of my horses through, it would have fallen on them.

There's some real f*cking muppets out there.

On a funny note, I notice he didn't go through the bull paddock.

And talking about that, I still haven't spoken to the young one.  I keep sending him pictures trying to lay the ground work down for him either going to a new home,

or getting "girl-like" but the young one just keeps sending back texts, He is so cute!

Not the phrase I use.

Anyway, that's been our week - lots of fun, bucket loads of magic, huge amounts of testosterone and good people.

And one Mother A** bull.

Wishing you much love my friends and of course, my humans.

Caps, me, Spirit, Az, Ralph, Chew, Suzie Q, Buzz-The-Bl**dy-Bull (Sir Loin), Fenny and Flash, 100 mice - 1.
