Horse Sense....

So, I had my first ever child come to see us yesterday.

First off, I don't really want to talk about it with you.

Now, don't be all humpy not because I don't want to share how I work with the Clairsenses but because Spirit are sending me very specialized children.  Little peeps who have already been taken advantage of and I don't want to be another adult who uses them for gain.

I didn't see that one coming.

But I do want to talk briefly about the horses.

Before my little person turned up you heard the Energy change.  I had spoken to them about ** coming and they were interested in meeting him but about 30 minutes before, I heard the Energy change.  There was a feeling of excitment.  The big horses, Caps and Sequoia were waiting at the gate for him yet even the little ones, Ralph and Chew who were the ones earmarked for him, were also waiting.  He turned up then met all the horses, fed them, talked with them, we spoke about them, touched them and started our journey towards friendship.

I could not have anticipated in black and white terms how the Clairsenses would work because let's face it, you never can until the exact moment you do.

But it was magicial, powerful and empowered and touched the souls deeply of us who were there.

Ok, so it's the day before Az's and my show and I'm pretty happy.  I did not bath him until about 4 today and as much as I know that that is really naughty, there was also a method to my madness.

I didn't think he wanted a bath.

Which worked out to be correct.  He wasn't keen on water.  Which was ok as I just dry washed him.  It comes in a bottle and you rub it in then towel it off.  I use it for the mini's because they hate being cold and wet.  But back to Az.  He was pretty fine with the dry wash and towel but then again we took our time and eventually got everything done although the bottom of his legs and hooves are a bit on the dodgy side.  I put on his jacket and stabled him tonight so he couldn't roll in the mud between tonight and tomorrow morning.  I am quietly confident about tomorrow though, we have a relationship that I am proud of.  And a girlfriend is coming from Tauranga (about an hour and a half away) to help us as our original plans fell down.  Thanks so much, Brenda, it's meant a lot to us xx

I'm kind of excited.

And Sequoia's in season.  I got up this morning and she has a little fire in her eyes and had somehow managed to undo and stomp on my fence.  She looked at me and was like, Fence is down. It's not hot.  Bloody mare.  I should have known though as I was feeling a bit humpy myself.  Actually, I had found myself throwing my toys out of my cot and generally getting out my witchy stick, drawing lines and exercising boundaries.  Although to be fair, no one tells me what I will accept and be grateful for.  So, you know, it was when this was going to happen, not if.  So, once I had got all that out of the way, I did a bit of shopping (horses naturally) and then sunbathed.  A quite brilliant end result all round.

Ralph is fabulous up on the deck now.  He's off the lead all the time and never wanders.  However, I won't let Chew off and Ralph won't leave Chew.  He is always within 1 metre of him.  It's most unusual, I've never seen a bond like it.  Chew also keeps saying that I can trust him.

No.

And Caps is his lovely self.

Az was a freaking rock star!  But let me tell you how it went...

First off, we were both seriously under groomed.   The show was described as really laid back, straight from paddock to arena.  Well, that was a lie.  There were plaited,  make-upped, and false tailed horses as far as the eye could see.  And the humans were all skirted and hatted so you know, your favorite Psychic rocking up in jeans and a black top didn't quite cut the mustard.

But our relationship did.

Quite obviously we didn't place in the best presented but did come home with two 4ths - one for manners, I can't remember what the other 4th was for, one 3rd for Handling (That's me being judged on how well I control the horse) and a win for best pony.

I'm absolutely freaking stoked!

Az did me proud and I'm stoked about the Handling place.  Even though we were in the Green Horse ring we were up against better presented horses with all their bling and people who had been doing this for years so to actually place was a big thing.  In fact, it was huge.

I am one very, very happy enchilada right now.

And a huge Thank you to Helen who came and took pictures and gave us support just because she thought we needed it.  You are a truly special friend with a big heart.

* Ooooohhh almost forgot, you want to know how the gate thing is going with Caps and Sequoia.  Well, I'm getting a result but not quite the one I originally wanted.  I open the gate to paddock two first thing in the morning and everyone's very respectful, waits until I leave and moves quietly into the new paddock.  In the afternoon when I move them back, I put a rope halter on Sequoia, lead her through the gate and Caps comes up behind her just nudging her along while he follows us. I never need to halter Caps.

** And Sequoia is inviting me in for a deeper emotional connection.  She actively seeks me out on a daily basis, often two or three times a day.  Which I happily accept.  I do my very best to show her that she is safe with me and that we can have an awesome relationship.  She seems to think so, too.

*** And we have our next show on the 12th, 13th November.  This one is a big A and P show.  Nice.  Nothing like a bit of a crowd to get the creative juices flowing but all jokes aside crowds don't really bother me with horses.  Because I literally can't hear or see them.  I click in and click on with my horses and nothing else exists.

Wish us luck though as we are specializing in the Welsh catagory not Green Horse catagory so I may be completey out of my depth.  Well, Az is a Welsh so I thought, let's compete against other Welsh's who are also highly intelligent and see how we go.

We're not afraid of competition.

Game on.

Wishing you much love my friends, and of course, my humans

Caps, me, Spirit, Sequoia, Ralph, Chew and Az
